I began my career as a social worker and have over a decade of experience in the mental health and postpartum fields. I believe in working from a person centered approach, where I work alongside my clients by empowering them to be the best version of themselves within their own capacity. I am an empathetic listener and create a safe and validating space for my clients. I am passionate about working with adults and couples focusing on a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, self esteem, stress/burnout, relationships and cultural/intergenerational difficulties. As a mom myself I have a keen interest in working with women specifically in the areas of fertility, parenting, and overall maternal mental health. I also focus on cultural competence being an important part of the therapy process and can provide services in both English and Punjabi.

I work from an attachment based lens and use a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Gottman’s Method for Couples.

I am a provisional psychologist who has been in the counselling and coaching field for over 15 years. I absolutely love supporting my clients from an attachment lens to find fulfillment in their relationships and lives.

I approach counselling holistically, considering the context of your personal, relational, social and professional life. We will work collaboratively to create a safe, confidential, and supportive dynamic that fosters confidence and greater clarity, enabling you to effect the changes you wish to see.

I have a deep appreciation for working with attachment and relationship concerns, parenting, spirituality, grief and loss, complex trauma and post-traumatic stress. You’ll learn how your nervous system impacts your body and mind so that you can respond to your challenges in a healthier way. My approach is enhanced by social neurobiology, which considers the physiological (somatic) roots of mental, emotional, and social well-being. I am a Registered Social Worker and a mom of my own little one, and I am passionate about supporting young children and their families to experience more peace and connection through play-based and attachment informed therapeutic modalities.

Over the course of my 8 year career as a social worker and supporting families, I have learned and been inspired by the incredible resilience of children and the love of families. I feel incredibly privileged to witness the transformations that occur within families as children gain emotional regulation skills through play-based interventions, and parents learn to better support their unique and incredible child.
